I have been staying at the inn for the past 17 years. I always had my wife with me but she passed last Nov so I was alone this trip. i do recommend the inn to anyone I know traveling to Cape Cod
No problems with the inn.
The close to the Island Queen Ferry . It takes about 3 minutes to walk to the Marthas Vineyard Ferry boat.
The rooms where old and dated, the pool area was below standards the it was just awful(slimmy at the bottom) .
Location fine for walking downtown to many attractions. Great location to go to Woods Hole, beaches, stores,
when we got there, the room's air conditioner was not working, and the TV was not working, moved to another room, TV still not working but they said that they were having problems with the cable, I did not belive this because when we had asked to move the 2nd time and I told the man at the front desk that the TV was not working, he said that no one else was complaining. So, if the cable was out, why would not one else complain. This was out 2nd time staying there and I will not stay there again. Staff was great, but the room was not that clean and comfortable,. Basically, if they are going to charge people over $120 dollars, I think that they should improve the rooms.
Not having a mircrowave or coffe pot in room, and not having hadicapp acesssible bathroom. Needs updating.
When we got there they gave us our room number and when we went to the room, it was filthy! The beds were torn apart and everything was on the floor. We went back to the front desk and they gave us another room. This one was better. We put our things in the room and left for our niece's rehearsel dinner. While we were at the dinner we found out another guest (who was at the wedding with us) had to check out because of bed bugs in the room! Their room was right next door to ours!!!!!!!! We got back to the hotel at 10:15 and checked right out. We were, however, given a full refund and no questions asked!
The pool was closed the entire stay. No refund was given. How do you close a pool in the middle of the summer on Cape Cod and not call your guest to warn them or give them a discount? Unexceptable. I will never go back.
Close to ferry
I was not told the pool was not open.Did not know till next day.they told me It was on the sign on the desk.Continental breakfast was coffee and cereal.Beds are very stiff.
It was nice, close to some great beaches.some good eating ,close to docks, good shopping and close to rest of cape.
The downtown shops close to early, for people go to beach all day,not much to do with family after dinner. No movies.
Access to pool Close to many point of interest (Martha's Vineyard, etc) Hotel staff were polite and willing to help to discover the area of interest.
Complimentary breakfast was very lean. Very few food available at 8:00am. Mattress of one bed (near window) in room 241 needs to be replaced ASAP. Coils springs have hurt by back for 4 consecutive days and the bed itself has a low point toward the center - very uncomfortable. The hallways ambiant air is very humid. Air circulation is certainly not in compliance toi building codes.
The staff who spoke English were very nice and tried to be helpful. The bed was clean and usually the staff made the bed in the am..but not always. There was a pool and the continental breakfast was decent but should have been 7-10 instead of 7-9.
I did not like the syringes I found lying used in the parking lot nor the empty nips bottles beside them. The pool and all the grounds were seedy and unkempt. Looked like no one cared or even tried to care. At $120 per night I expected a lot more
It was in Falmouth.
I meant to close Inn on the Square but was confused and picked the wrong hotel. This place was further from my mom's house.
Nice location, quiet, clean, and the staff was excellent
No Wi-Fi in the rooms.
No lights tv didnt work put in room with 2 beds not what I reserved
My room was uncomfortable. There was no coffee maker. The linens were clean but old. The windows were filthy. All of the above was bad, but the worst part was not having any other residents on the second floor, This is a very scary hotel!!! There was nothing I liked.
Read the above and double my dislike comments
